Twyll-Gloom

Twyll, a young lad from England, is the youngest member of the Timetheory pirate ship, and while he probably should be socializing with others his age and attending footy matches, he instead crafts dark shoegazing ambient tracks in the wee hours of the the night.
"Gloom" is a good example of how solo ambient artists have essentially picked up where the shoegazing bands left off, and the simple titles and vast deep sound of these tracks will bring back some of the wild sonic comfort. Twyll himself suggests that the music is best listened to "at night, with the headphones on".
