Bryan Holmes is a Chilean composer living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and "Explotacion", a co-release of time theory with Menthe de Chat netlabel, is a conceptual recording based on the use of sounds recorded through relatively low quality means. Sounds captured from webcam microphones, handheld videocameras and other sources are altered, stretched and manipulated to make the best of these otherwise sub par quality recordings, the kind of incidental audio that accompanies the kodak moments of life.
