About the project X-in:
X-in (Luigi Scotti)
This project is born with the attempt to analyze the drawer to logon ''sound-meat'' by fall in the deepest human perceptions...
Personal mythologies, somnambulant improvisations.
Joe Frawley, piano and sound collage
I wrote the music, or improvised the music, and played the piano. I also chose the found sounds and did the electronic processing and arrangements. Rachel breathed, spoke and sang. Greg provided certain sounds in the bass register. Some voices are those of narrator "Secrets", who reads for Librivox.org. "Descension Day" features double bass bowed harmonics played by Houston Guy, courtesy of user "Stomachache" on Freesound.org. "Yes, please yes" is based around dialogue samples borrowed from the BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour Drama "Sacred Hearts". Special thanks to J.C. for sharing his personal collection with me. Cover illustration is a detail from "Ava in the Snow", by Natasha Newton [ http://theblackbirdsings.typepad.com ], used by permission. Speak of this to no one. -JF
Along with Ritual Research and Daughters of Industry, this is Joe Frawley's third release on Clinical Archives.

201. [-hyph-] – Realness 0.3.5 – 5:08
constructed by Nicolas Wiese
berlin, 12/06 – 02/07
One of the first raw "test-"pieces for a new conceptual group of works about the contradictions in hip hop. while rap artists always insisted in "keeping it real", one of the major motivations behind many rappers' careers is to become someone else – a rich and powerful person, making his peace with the white dominated capitalistic society. the rap artist's "realness" is meant to qualify his success as a strategy of independence, but the opposite is the case – hip hop becomes a highly artificial, totally decontextualized entertainment commodity and a flattened myth system in a game that is by no means controlled by the hip hop artists themselves. in REALNESS, i am constructing my own highly artificial and dislocated sound clusters out of hip hop – by only using acapella rap vocals as source material. In this particular piece, a few percussive sounds are added, generated from various prcoessed acoustic instruments.
Nicolas Wiese / b. 1976 / is a visual artist, sound artist,
graphic designer and improvising musician who currently lives in Berlin.
he studied communication design, illustration and communication
theory at the university of applied sciences in Hamburg.
apart from exhibitions, installations, audiovisual performances,
short film projects, improv concerts and interdisciplinary workshops
his activities include the small tape & cdr label AIC, which he
is running together with Oliver Peters ( EVAPORI )
and G.Grimm ( TOTSTELLEN )
the project [-hyph-] has been started in 2001.

dabei sind programme wie max/msp, audio sculpt und soundhack das werkzeug
mit dem er klänge auf miroskopischer ebene bearbeitet.
in letzter zeit werden auch selbstgebaute elektro-akoustische instrumente

208. Nicolas Kinski – Tuesday 14h27 – 3:29
Artwork by Hannelore Brückner. Title: "Loneliness'
'Tuesday, 14:27' is all about feelings and emotions. It's about boredom and triviality, about banality and the importance of it.
The setting: hanging about in a room, with comfortably little to do. Outside wet streets are almost empty. One watches literally nothing happening. Time passes. A straydog barks. The wind blows, rain falls relentlessly. It is cold. People hurry by, home- or where-everbound, exhaling their steamy breath that reaches circling towards the sky. The clock ticks. Silence falls. A distant radio plays forgotten tunes. God is nowhere. The world keeps on turning. You're at a loss. It is 14:27 on a tuesday, one of the many.
I am a German avant-garde artist whose aim it is to capture the fascination for the city of Berlin - or any terribly interesting city anywhere - in sounds that go way beyond the traditional songstructures. Though sober and repetitive, my songs are never logical, always - as the French so beautifully say - 'contraire'. My music itself is like an itinerary of Berlin and an intense diary of my life at the same time. Hear and feel a bruised, crazed city at night, champagning with noises and voices on sidewalks, in underpasses, partybunkers, bridges, overcrowded streets, populated with the strangest people you'll ever meet. Influences so profound, dark, gripping songs write themselves around them.
Nicolas Kinski (° 1979) - voice & electronics
Kurt Mueller (° 1980) - percussion & noizz
Hannelore Brückner (° 1985) – artwork

302. Ouraken – Zhongma Fortress – 5:04
In the depths of Zhongma Fortress, an army cameraman is taping, not knowing anymore if the sound he hears comes from the outside or from his mind… To quiet his soul he seeks the Muga-mushin, the void where everything is transcended.
Ouraken is a dark ambient project from Switzerland. Its music explores the creepiest aspects of Japanese history converging in the concept of Dark Zen. Dark or Martial zen unites tension and serenity, violence and beauty. Humble everyday life and ultimate reality, the Relative and the Absolute, destruction and harmony. 305. Johann Wolfgang Pozoj – Brainwave Synchronizer – 10:52
« Brainwave Synchronizer can produce files that, when listened to with stereo headphones, will put the listener into any desired state of awareness. For example, by listening to “brainwaved” files, you can achieve states such as deep sleep, theta meditation, or alpha relaxation. Because of the nature of this function, it only works on stereo waveform data, and to be effective, it must be listened to with stereo headphones.
The Brainwave Synchronizer function spatially locates the audio left and right, in a circular pattern over time. In order to spatially encode the signal, either the left or right channel is delayed so that the sounds will appear at each ear at different times, tricking the brain into thinking they are coming from either side. When this is done at frequencies of 3Hz and above, the brain will start synchronizing at the same frequency, increasing its output of Delta, Theta, Alpha, or Beta frequencies.
For example, after 5 minutes of listening to Theta waves, the listener will become slightly awake, if 30 seconds of alpha waves are generated, and then returned back to theta. The effect is sort of like shifting gears into different levels of awareness.»
J.W. Pozoj is mystical symfocrust experiance. It works like a band with five steady members and few come-and-goes. Pozoj is a mystical animal that fled from people into the mountains. It came back into the time in 2002 A.D. The escape of Pozoj symbolizes tragedy. The first part of opus is concepted as trilogy: : Birth of Pozoj; Escape of Pozoj & Return of Pozoj. Pozoj doesn't know what we are and what music is but he has left us here all alone to find out.

N+Z (Fco. Alejandro Maldonado M.)
Is a very young musician who started playing with cheap electronic keyboards. He learned to play drums and percussion but has mainly opted to learn about music software. His first performance as N&Z was in Tijuana's "el Callejon" bar, opening for C/A/T. He has since then shared the stage with Hocico and Epidemia. His focus is on the industrial noise genre but includes elements of classical and hindu music…
as part of his performance has several ways of introducing different elements into his music. It’s composed of several influences that goes from “Power Noise” to the most essential feelings, in composed and distorted melodies.
His first CD called “Noir Tag” will be released in October of 2006, it’s based in lyrical compositions, Hindu and Classical Music, and sound variations that can easily betray our mind. He arrived to Tijuana in 1993, obsessed with arts, at age 14 he took Plastic Arts classes. After 5 years of learning the most deep and intense art narrations, he focused on what he wanted to do the most; enjoying and having an interest in classical piano, he was interested in being able to create music until he found the way of doing it thru computers and computer software, and by interpreting musical notes he was able to learn and to manipulate digital instruments as well.
, It’s a solo project. He has now 9 years as an artist and 5 years in the music business, he tries to express that not only in traditional music, but also in this kind it’s possible to interpret melodies that can get to the mind but also… to the heart.

On 12-21-2006 Denver, CO was hit with the first of 2 blizzards which shut the entire city down for days on end...

i was alone.the city was dead. no one was lurking. it was very peaceful.
Colorado was declared to be in a state of emergency and people were highly recommended not to leave their homes. three days passed before i emerged from my basement. Blizzarine Sundry was conceived.

UBE tries to give the listener different states of mind, feelings or atmospheres, withouth directly telling how to analyze it, how to listen to it, what to think about it. UBE is about consumption, greed, hate, lust, violence, culture, minority, power. Sometimes the mind gets more liquid, and pours over the edges, and goes outside the frames of reality."

Though Kevin Krebs often describes himself proverbially, he is a seminal influence in the Netlabel scene and has created many important works using original source material of the eclectic and electroacoustic variety.
Mystified, aka Thomas Park, remains a prolific artist who specializes in creating songs and audio collages from sounds he finds at his Saint Louis apartment or from surrounding neighborhoods.
"Reclaiming The Darkness" involved a sample exchange-- across the Pacific Ocean, unique and home-crafted sounds travelled as tiny bits, to be retrieved at other shores. Several pieces were written by each artist as "solo" pieces, and one piece, "Blinded", was written by simply agreeing on a track length, and mixing two signals, one from each artist, without preview. The result is a strange and enjoyable journey that emphasizes the strengths of both artists!
Thanks to Sandy Spreitz (www.sandystudio.com) for the artwork.
The Grave Underneath the Ritual Stone
Inklike void, retinas adjust to somber melancholy, humidity laced in nines duplicating charcoal,
endless nihility. Black mist like swollen noise or poisoned veins. Ritual stones bloodied, buried,
and forgotten, cherishing memories like ruins of broken mirrors. Upkeep lapsing, rusted nails shave
snow from tortured, forsaken bones. Catacombs smothered in decayed wine, spawning dread like funnel
clouds of osmosis. Unnatural whispers when breaths barely escape. Pikes of apprehension. Blades of
instability. Becoming heroic to insatiable chains and thirsty hooks. Those apparitions like wind
chimes that dance under stormy moons. An inhuman blue-grey. The catalyst to destroy description.
Frigid from fright. Lungs of dust, hearts of ash. Ravaged flags as tourniquets for gangrenous limbs
poisoned by unknown's chill. Draining the pus from gory boils. Gaping scars of nameless terror.
Malignant eyes always upon me. Monuments of afflicting paradigm.
sara's nightmare (neon black possession)
this is all so perverse
wicked and malformed
looks of scars
smells of stains
cement staircases are storyless when penniless
dulling the sharp sting of fresh spring air
five stories high comes the advent smell of rain
this is all so pointless
alluring as well as annoying
What it builds in context
it lacks in cohesion
reverb of silence
sullen terror campaign
the waterdrops bend at an awkward axis
and explode on landing
a flash of red
shadows return to shadows
this is all so cryptic.
lost in memories
lack of translation
fractures of truth
we only appreciate finality.
taken into the sky by superheated energy
takes a storm to claim some souls
takes a death for people to pay attention
FOR ALMAR || 02 is made only with an acoustic 6-string guitar, recorded with the cheapest Creative PC microphone into the free downloadable Audacity, and edited there.
"Almar" is a short film made by Dan Korneli 2006.
The film is based on a play where Nils Drivdal plays the leading role.
Almar is living in a cardboard box. All alone.
Almar is beautiful boy. This is a sad & scary story.
This is my soundtrack meant For Almar.
Thanks to Dan & Nils.
**Be sure to download the "MUST HAVE" text document. It is the storyline of the music. It is as important as the music.**
In a reality much like our own, only different, two particular inventions, the printing press and electricity, were indeed invented, but for some reason, had very little impact. They were introduced to people, and no one cared. Such things were considered the property only of the rich and well-educated. As a result, most of the civilized world still lives in a semi-medieval state.
Traitors' Gate is a rough district of neighborhoods on the outskirts of a major city somewhere in this 21st century medieval world. It is every bit as rough as any neighborhood on the edge of any modernized American city. "Traitors' Gate" is a soundtrack to a journey through this dangerous area, from the perspective of unnamed characters who work in the larger city center area and must make the trek each day to the city and brave the trip back home at night.
JON7 is a friend of ours who did a remake of the Turmoil album Astral Nightmare the result was Traitor's Gate a few months back we did a remake of of the JON7 album Ocean Floor entitled Blue Grotto. Much appreciation to JON7 for all his help and we hope to work with him in the future.

Hikikomori#2 is the second album of OIKOS and second of Hikikomori's theme.
It's two long tracks recorded some days next to Hikikomori#1 session recording. Same gear, same edition process and same DIY philosophy.
OIKOS is an instrumental duo from Madrid based on the improv exploration of guitar harmonies through digital treatments to create a powerful ambient motion. Expanding from bright atmospherics with distorted drifting melodies to rumbling drones or harsh sonics, but trying always to keep the pulsing tone.
"Secret" is his first album in the genres of electroacoustic music and ambient. Unlike the musician's main activities associated with free improvisation this work is more compositional though it contains one long improvisation on alto and tenor saxophones. Bass-guitar is the main instrument in this work, it creates rhythmic structures and melodic lines and it forms atmospheres by volume and superpositions of sounds.

He often plays at The Gallery of Experimental Sound – 21 (GES-21), Saint-Petersburg.
Ilia has played with such musicians as Vladislav Makarov, Nikolay Rubanov, Alexey Lapin, Roman Stolyar, Andrey Popovskiy, Philip Croaton.
He is a member of Totalitarian Musical Sect (TMS), DaDaZu & Wozzeck.
The ambiences and layers in this release is loaded with elaberate tones and layers that flow gracefully and can bemind expanding in the right enviroment, not to mention the intricate micro rythyms, and the clever use of random voice elements run through shimmering dsp. This one deservers a listen from first track to last so you can really go to the depths this album can take you.
In Darkness We Unite
The things that make you question more in life and in turn be questioned. What goes on behind the picket fence? Whats lurking in the shadows? The darker things in life that make you speculate and seek out those who also speculate.
A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress. During lucid dreams, it is often possible to exert conscious control over the dream characters and environment, as well as to perform otherwise physically impossible feats.
This album is a series of shorter songs, unlike the works of Turmoil. I've taken a more cinematic approach to creating this music with the hopes of creating a short experimental film in the near future.

New album by previous enough release artist Turmoil with tracks of a dark ambient industrial noise vein, using samples recorded from an industrial water treatment plant.
A different way to be I.E.
Not micro-goregrind-blast sonic experiments, but a long trip far from the town, in the night, under a severe sky, listening all the universe sounds!
Different from first EP, but always dark and industrial and experimental and in the usual 'cave-fi' (cavernous-fidelity!) sound.
The title recall Turmoil' song DREDGIN' THE SWAMP 'cause I used it, with Turmoil permission, 'cause I love to put in my works what I like, also if these stuff are so re-edited tha becames something different – but his 'atoms' remains and becames part of the new digital sonic 'flesh'!
The Lifted E.p is an introduction to the more atmospheric downtempo type works of Dizruptre.Unique variations with glitchy beats and melodic textures are crafted throughout this E.p whith thought and patience. These four tracks are all gems in their selves alone.
Elvatorium is a collaboration between Tom Maggio (from USA) and Radek Kordasiewicz (from Poland). The duo started this journey in late 2006.

This recording is based on the deterioration of one's mind from living in a world where instead of fixing our problems we choose to ignore and work around them, causing the mind to become numb and unsound.

"Dangerous Rituals" is a recording that attempts to depict the feeling of going through some of life's more dangerous rites of passage, lessons learned the hard way, times in which the most innocent creatures must take little a blackening of their soul for the sake of growth and greater development. It is a soundtrack to to some disturbing, enthralling, nightmarish times in my not-too-distant past.
Though one long piece, "Dangerous Rituals" is comsposed of three subsections; "Tunnel of Propaganda (Flat Hearing Field)", "Minefield (Fourth Day Visual Hallucinations)" and "Red Phosphorus (An Endless Succession of Collapsing Pathways)"
In this recording, certain distorted voices seem to speak ill of you in your very presence while others urge you to continue to do what you cannot resist. Harsh digital noises represent visual misinterpretations of overloaded optic nerves and saturated neurotransmission environments. Slowly growing and mutating beats depict time and places that provide only momentary autonomy but that don't stay peaceful for long before disintegrating into chaos.
The end result: the listener feel as though they have been through some sort of hell, but regrets nothing.

Two long form power-noise / industrial/ / dark ambient tracks, consisting of many different compositions created between 2005 and 2008. This LP is (for the moment) being offered as a free download, to determine if people are interested in any and/or all of the sonic elements found within these two tracks. Although the tracks are synthetic, they also contain traces of highly distorted vocals, guitar manipulation, and field recordings, thus adding additional dimensions to compositions that are not usually found in 'typical' noise creations. Furthermore, these noise creations also do NOT focus on furthering hateful ideologies or misanthropic tendencies, as is unfortunatly the case with many 'extreme' power-noise / hardcore acts. Instead, the project is aimed at creating expressive works of intense noise, distortion, and intriguing frequencies.
If, after listening to this project, you find something you enjoy and/or approve of, feel free to get in touch and share your experience on what you liked/disliked about the album.

"On February 6th, 2006 Patrick Urn of Syphilis Sauna and Benatos Thompson of Love Always My Penis (L.A.M.P) were asked to perform at an art gallery opening for some local artists at the now defunct InfoHazard art gallery in Seattle. It was a show case for dark/disturbing paintings, sculptures, shadow boxes, etc. Patrick and Benatos decided on doing a dark noise piece that would fit quite well with the art expo. Patrick remembers it being kinda of hilarious because many of the patrons said they liked Coil, Nurse With Wounds, etc, but didn't like local noise acts trying to emulate those sounds/concepts. Benatos also recalls at one point during their almost one and a half hour set, another patron complained to the curator and said that someone should turn them down or off completely. Luckily no one made such attempts and this dark noise/ambient piece that features Syphilis Sauna on Laptop, Nano Loop, Crash Symbol and L.A.M.P on SH-32, SP-202, Microphone/Mixer was allowed to manifest terrible feelings all night long for those patrons."

Barrow, Alaska, at the very top of the state, has a two-month winter period in which the sun doesn't rise. On November 18 or 19 the sun goes down, and remains below the horizon for about 65 days until it re-appears, normally on January 22 or January 23. During the time of polar night there is a decreasing amount of twilight each day, and on winter solstice, December 21 or December 22, civil twilight in Barrow lasts for a mere 3 hours.

First CD from Moscow-based dark ambient/drone project Silence Drift. A powerful guitar ambient, improvised by one person - sound engineer and musician Maxim Komov. Dark and scary atmospheres, deep sounds and easy listening drones gets you into a journey on night streets. Music was inspired by photograph series 'Nightwalk' taken by Alexey Seliverstov.
Silence Drift is an dark ambient / drone project formed by musician and sound engineer Maxim Komov in late November 2007. The idea of processing & mixing recording from various record sessions with other musicians has long existed. Further experiments with mixing various records with guitar drones ended with debut videosequence called 'We Walk Through November' available via YouTube. In May 2008 Silence Drift releases 1st full-length CD called Aircode - the four long drone pieces inspired by amazing photographs taken by Alexey Seliverstov.
Edge Of October has become my favorite outlet for the darker side of my personality. I am in a constant battle with depression,
and music helps me to turn desperation into inspiration. These songs are a reflection of how I have felt throughout various stages
of this mental illness, like a soundtrack for suffering. Some other influences of mine are horror movies, and the book "house of leaves",
by Mark Z. Danielewski.
